I think have found a bug in KardsGT, what should I do?

The first thing to do is to make sure the bug hasn't already been reported. You can check on our bug tracker site. If the bug has not already been reported, then we would like you to report it. We recommend registration, so we can communicate with you further.

KardsGT plays by rules that I don't use, never heard of, or don't like!

We decided that for the uniformity we would use the official rules that are laid out by Hoyle. This eliminates regionalism, and personal preferences of the developers. Later on we'll be adding variations to each of the games, at that point you can turn on and off features of the game you don't normally use. I recommend that you give the rules a try, you might find you like them.

Why can't I compile on Debian?

If you are running the current Debian stable (Debian 4), then you can't as it only has support for QT 4.2. If you add the testing repositories, you'll have access to QT 4.3. As to how to do this, ask your local Debian expert. :D

Why don't you make a compiled package for my distro?

The distributions we have compiled a package for were selected based upon the development platform of the developers. If you would like KardsGT to be compiled for your distribution it is recommended that you ask your distribution maintainers to create the package for you.

All KardsGT help files list Wikipedia as the source?

The overall writing is used from Wikipedia. When a rule in the original article diverges from that specified by Hoyle, we change the article to the rule specified by Hoyle. Those fixes are then placed back into the original Wikipedia article. Once we have merged our changes into the Wikipedia we do not keep track of that article's revisions.

Why don't you have any games of patience (solitaire)?

There is already a free sourced patience programme available, called KPatience. It has virtually all the patience games you could desire. If there is a patience game that it is missing from it, you can contact the developers of KPatience and request the game from them. KardsGT is meant for card games that require more than one player to play against.

I have a question that you didn't address.

There are several places you can contact us for further questions. We have an excellent user mailing list or if you like you can try to catch us on IRC in the KardsGT channel. Even if you choose the IRC route, we recommend you join the mailing list. We make announcements, bug fixes, and release information through that medium.
